Dear CNS Members:

 

CNS member agencies are invited to a presentation sponsored by The Erie
Community Foundation and The Estate Planning Council of Erie.
Christopher R. Hoyt, Esq., Professor of Law at the University of
Missouri (Kansas City) School of Law will speak on "Charitable Estate
Planning: Selecting the best assets for lifetime and testamentary
gifts."

 

Professor Hoyt serves on the editorial boards of Trusts and Estate
Magazine and the Planned Giving Design Center. He is a frequent speaker
at legal and educational programs and has been quoted in numerous
publications including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, MONEY Magazine,
and The Washington Post. Professor Hoyt is the author of The Legal
Compendium for Community Foundations, the most widely used legal
reference for community foundations. He is currently the Co-Chair of the
American Bar Association's Committee on Lifetime and Testamentary
Charitable Gift Planning. In addition, he serves as legal counsel to The
Greater Kansas City Community Foundation. 

 

This presentation will take place Tuesday, February 15th, 3:00 - 4:30
pm, at the Bel Aire Hotel, 2800 West 8th St, Erie, PA.  The event is
free to members of The Center for Nonprofit Services, but reservations
are required by calling Pauline at 868-7551.
