This is a board match service and a whole lot more, which your agency representative(s) will learn about when attending the introduction sessions over the next few weeks. In order for agencies to take advantage of this membership benefit, each will be entered into the data base at boardnetUSA. This requires your EIN (Employee Identification Number) along with the year your organization received its EIN. Please furnish these two items of information (EIN number and year received) by March 9, 2005 by e-mail to Robin Koble, Project Coordinator, at rkoble@cferie.org . Please be sure to mention the name of your agency in the email when furnishing this info. You then will receive a login ID and password. Your EIN and year of designation will not be published anywhere on this site. The information is for internal boardnetUSA purposes only. This initial entry will be made for you by Foundation staff. However, your agency is responsible for maintaining your own data in the future. This also will be covered in the introduction sessions we've asked you to attend. For more information regarding introductory sessions, contact Robin Koble at rkoble@cferie.org or 454-0843. Thanks very much. We look forward to marketing this member benefit in the future to prospective board candidates in the community on your behalf. The Nonprofit Partnership in partnership with boardnetUSA, offers a unique online tool designed for the purpose of connecting member nonprofit organizations with potential new board members. This site provides a network for individuals looking for a board opportunity and for member agencies seeking qualified board candidates. The boardnetUSA network enables board candidates and agencies to screen for particular attributes and skills. In addition, nonprofit agencies can utilize online information and services that will help in the analysis of board needs. The Nonprofit Partnership, as a community partner of boardnetUSA, provides this service as a benefit to The Partnership member agencies. We anticipate the board match service to be fully implemented by the end of March 2005. A demo/training session for using boardnetERIE will be held March 29 and repeated on March 30, 2005. The session will take place at The Erie Community Foundation 2nd Floor Training Room from Noon to 1:00 pm on each day. A light lunch will be served. Reservations are required. Member agencies are encouraged to send a representative to this demo in order to take full advantage of this member service. To reserve a space for March 29 or March 30, contact Robin at 454-0843 or rkoble at cferie.org. We plan to have three separate list serves: Executive Directors, Board Chairs, and Development Directors. Before we put it out there to members, I am going to play with it internally with ECF employees as the list serve members. Please humor me, play along, and try the various options. I think we will all learn a thing or two. Thanks!
