Topic: Why Nonprofits Must Step Forward to Lead the Community
The Nonprofit Partnership will hold the annual Nonprofit Executive Forum
on May 19, 5:00 pm at Yehl Ballroom, Gannon University. Wine reception
to follow.
Guest speaker, Gregg Behr is President of The Forbes Funds a
Pittsburgh-based foundation that supports nonprofit capacity-building,
research, and leadership development.
In addition, Mr. Behr serves on advisory councils for the Pew
Partnership for Civic Change, Independent Sector, the National Panel on
the Nonprofit Sector, WQED Multimedia, the United Way of Allegheny
County, and the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. He is
also a trustee for the Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern
Pennsylvania.
In 2002, Mr. Behr received the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award presented
by the Young Lawyers Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
He was also awarded an American Marshall Memorial Fellowship by The
German Marshall Fund of the United States. In 2003, Mr. Behr was
selected as one of Pittsburgh's 40 Under 40.
Atty. Behr's presentation will focus on leadership development and the
need for nonprofit leaders to step forward on behalf of our communities.
